Oguntoyinbo noted that he, in conjunction with his political party, has perfected plans to sue INEC over the omission of the party’s name from ballot papers.

The gubernatorial election was held yesterday in all the local government areas in the state.

It was learnt that the NNPP name was omitted from the ballot papers during the election.

The NNPP candidate, in the statement made available to DAILY POST on Sunday, maintained that apart from omitting the party’s name from the ballot paper, the election was marred by manipulation and irregularities.

He alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) intimidated and harassed the majority of the voters during the election.

While speaking further, he insisted that the omission of the name of the party on the ballot paper was a ploy to rob him and the party of victory in the election.

Oguntoyinbo disclosed that his party had earlier written a letter to INEC to ensure the inclusion of his name on the ballot paper instead of only the logo.

He then declared that the party would go to court to challenge the abnormality.

“On the ballot paper, I cannot see my party, the NNPP. After writing to INEC to make amendments before the election but to our surprise, we could not find the name but only the logo.

“But by the grace of God, we are going to court to challenge INEC on reasons why they failed to put our name on the ballot paper. I’m disappointed in INEC,” he stated.
